How to Sign In to Zoom Using Your SBS Google Account

Use these instructions to sign in to the Zoom Workplace app using your Stony Brook School Google account.

What you need:
Your SBS email address, for example username@sbs.org.

Windows or Mac

1. Open the Zoom Workplace application.
2. Click Sign In.
3. Click Continue with Google.
4. Your web browser will open.
5. If prompted, select your SBS Google account.
6. If your SBS account is not listed, click Use another account and enter your full @sbs.org email address.
7. Complete the Google sign-in process.
8. If prompted, approve any required authentication or verification.
9. After signing in successfully, Zoom should automatically return you to the Zoom Workplace application.

Important: Make sure you select your @sbs.org Google account and not a personal Gmail account.

iPhone, iPad, or Android

1. Open the Zoom Workplace app.
2. Tap Sign In.
3. Tap Continue with Google.
4. Select your SBS Google account.
5. If your SBS account is not shown, choose Use another account and enter your full @sbs.org email address.
6. Complete the Google sign-in process.
7. After authentication is complete, you should be returned to Zoom.

How to Confirm You Are Signed In Correctly

1. Open the Zoom Workplace app.
2. Click or tap your profile picture.
3. Check the email address associated with your Zoom account.
4. Confirm that it shows your @sbs.org email address.

Troubleshooting

Zoom signs in with a personal Google account

Sign out of Zoom and repeat the sign-in process.

When Google asks you to choose an account, select your @sbs.org account instead of your personal Gmail account.

Your SBS account is not listed

Click or tap Use another account and enter your full SBS email address.

Example:

username@sbs.org

The browser signs in automatically with the wrong Google account

Sign out of the incorrect Google account in the browser, or select Use another account and sign in with your SBS account.

Zoom does not return to the application

Look for an option in your browser that says Open Zoom Workplace or Launch Zoom.

If your browser asks for permission to open Zoom Workplace, select Allow or Open.

You cannot sign in to your SBS Google account

First verify that you can sign in to your SBS Google account at Google.

If you are still unable to sign in, contact the SBS IT Department for assistance.
